About Hanouf

Hanouf Alahmari, MA, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California and a Licensed Senior Specialist in Clinical Psychology in Saudi Arabia. She specializes in trauma, attachment, and relational dynamics, helping individuals, professionals, and communities understand how early experiences shape emotional wellbeing, relationships, and patterns of adaptation, while helping them move toward healing, integration, and lasting change.
As Founder of True Self Practice, a Los Angeles-based mental health practice, and a Clinical Trainer, Hanouf translates complex psychological science into practical, culturally responsive learning experiences. Her work integrates EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theory, relational neuroscience, and parts-based approaches to help people deepen self-understanding, strengthen emotional safety, and build healthier relationships. She also serves as a Clinical Supervisor and EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training™, mentoring clinicians in research-grounded, trauma-informed practice.
